Meet Our Writers: Yailin

Hello everyone! My name is Yailin (she/her/hers) and I’m a fourth year psychology and education sciences double major with a double specialization in English language learning and children’s learning and development from Santa Barbara, California. A few of my involvements include the Antleader Mentorship Program, the Panhellenic Association, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, the Summer Multicultural Leadership Institute, Girls Inc. Facilitator, and being a Learning Assistant. During my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and learning about new cultures. One of my long term career aspirations is to create my own non-profit that aims to bridge the gap between first-generation, underrepresented students and higher education. A fun fact about me is that I’m the first person in my family to be born in the United States and the first person in my family to attend college.
